Seattle Awaits Its Last Warm Day Before Fall Returns

Temperatures in Seattle rose to around 68 degrees Fahrenheit (about 20°C) on Thursday, and even warmer weather is expected on Friday. Morning fog will quickly dissipate, giving way to partly cloudy skies and sunshine; temperatures could reach 70–72°F (21–22°C), roughly 10 degrees above normal for this time of year. The average late-season temperature is around 60°F (16°C), so residents may want to put off their sweaters for a little longer.

On Saturday, a weak atmospheric front will bring back the autumn chill: temperatures will drop to around 62°F (17°C), and clouds will cover the sky, but significant rain is not expected as the system weakens. By Sunday, the front will have moved on, but the cold air will keep daytime temperatures near 60°F (16°C) and conditions dry. Cloud cover will increase on Monday, while the high will remain below normal, ranging from 50–58°F (10–14°C).
