Four Black Hawk military helicopters flew over Lumen Field during the national anthem before the Seattle Seahawks–Chicago Bears game. As the last helicopter passed over the stadium, fireworks were launched from a tower near the north stands. Spectators reacted with alarm, and videos of the incident spread online. A spokesperson for Joint Base Lewis-McChord said the fireworks did not hit the helicopters, no equipment was damaged, and no crew members were injured. The Seahawks had not commented by the time of publication. The Bears won the game 34–17.
